Annual China Outlook Trip – Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an
LSESU China Development Society will be having our annual China Outlook Trip to Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an at the beginning of
the summer holiday! The Trip will take place between 28th June and 9th July 2015 (28th June – 3rdJuly at Beijing, 3rd July-7th July at Shanghai and 7th-9th at Xi’an).
By visiting some biggest local and multinational cooperates in three different cities, top Chinese universities, and engaging in plenty of Chinese traditional cultural events, China Outlook Trip provides a multi-dimensional approach to uncover the real China. This could be the only and the best platform for you to gain first hand insight into China’s recent development in multiple perspectives.
Date: 28th June – 9th July 2015
Destinations: Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, CHINA
Cost: £690, including all the accommodation, most meals, domestic transportation (coach), train from Beijing to Shanghai and flight from Shanghai to Xi’an as well as most activities and networking events.

This year, we have put forward a few more aspects of China Development to show you during the trip:
1. Deepening the understanding of China’s market economy and how the Communist China fits into today’s Capitalist world. We wish to introduce you to a variety of corporates ranging from different industries, such as CCTV, Shanghai Dragon TV, CPPCC , Sinopec, JD , Shanghai Pudong Bank, Bright Food and many more.
2. Fostering a more rounded view on China’s social development and her achievements in education. We will be exchanging at Fudan university for a full day to visit and interact with the students there.
3. Learning how historical legacy paralleled with modern development in China. This will be done through visiting historical attractions in Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an, such as The Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace, Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower, Terrocotta warriors and many more. This will allow you to be exposed to the glorious past as well as the thriving present of China.
Preferred size of team will be around 15-20 people, and will involve a good mix of Chinese and non-Chinese participants so as to encourage interactive learning within the group as well.
