The London School of Economics Student Union Energy Society is organising a one-day conference on rethinking the future of energy with the aim of becoming a global forum for key debates in the field of energy. The International Energy Agency (IEA) projects that the global demand for energy will rise 37% by 2040 hence there is an urgent need to rethink how to address this unavoidable demand increase. The conference will consist of four panel discussions of leading energy experts, with topics covering energy security; the food, water & energy nexus; emerging technology and innovation; and oil markets and geopolitics as responses to the growing future global energy demand.
