LSESU Labour and Cooperative Society is delighted to be joined by Matthew Doyle a former special advisor at 10 Downing Street and former political director and spokesman for Tony Blair.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the 'spin' of the last Labour government and understand the relationship between the media and politics. There will also be a Q&A and refreshments.

Speaker bio:
Matthew Doyle has spent more than a decade working for the Labour party in government, first in parliament and at Labour party headquarters, and then as a special adviser in the Department of Work and Pensions and 10 Downing Street. He continued to work for Tony Blair once he stood down as prime minister, serving as his political director and spokesman across all his activities, principally his role as Middle East Quartet representative from 2007-12. Matthew is now a freelance media consultant.
