On January 27, the LSE MENA Society is hosting a panel discussion to mark the five year anniversary of the Yemeni revolution. The speakers are:

*Adam Baron - Visiting Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations who was based in Yemen between 2011 and 2014
*Nawal Al-Maghafi - Yemeni-British journalist and filmmaker whose work has been featured on Channel 4, BBC Newsnight, BBC World and BBC Arabic
*Baraa Shiban - Yemeni human rights activist and Yemen project coordinator for Reprieve, member of Yemen’s national dialogue 2012-14
*Rasha Mohamed - Yemen researcher at Amnesty International
*To be confirmed

The talk will cover a range of topics, focusing in particular on the ongoing conflict in the country and the prospects for peace and democratic transition, and will be followed by a Q&A with the audience. The event will be chaired by
Courtney Freer, Research Officer at the LSE Middle East Center.

The event is free and open to the entire public, however attendees will need to have a ticket which you can acquire on this page. Non-LSE students will have to create a guest account.
