The Quad

The Quad is at the centre of the Students’ Union and acts as the main social area for students to relax, meet friends, get lunch, read the paper, prepare for your next class or just grab a coffee on your way to somewhere else. During the day it boasts a café, shop, a bookshop and travel agency and two large seating areas with tables. Come nightfall, however, it becomes a buzzing nightclub with bar, stage area, DJs and lights. There’s room for legions of partygoers to dance as well as chill-out corners where you can relax. The Quad not only gets the party started, it keeps it going all through the night! Whilst Societies will make it their own during the week and live bands will entertain the crowds, CRUSH! will let each and every one of you really push the boat out as the weekend begins. This is what student
life is all about!

The Three Tuns

Whether you're there for a sanctuary from afternoon lectures, meeting for a midday liquid lunch, or setting-out for a good night, the re-vamped Three Tuns bar will likely be a memorable part of your time at LSE. Quiz nights are on Tuesday, Karaoke and the Athletics Union are on Wednesday, on Friday the Tuns becomes the starting point for ‘CRUSH!’, the Union’s flagship clubnight. On Saturday's it
hosts a top-rate comedy night, the Chuckle Club and the Uber-cool Afterskool Klub.

The Underground

As its name suggests, The Underground is situated underneath The Three Tuns and aims to be more plush, intimate and sophisticated than the Tuns. The Underground is so stylish that it even boasts its own piano! Nevertheless, it is still a versatile venue hosting everything from packed R'n'B nights to the famous Exilio LGBT Latin salsa night on Saturdays.
It is also ideally suited for society events and more relaxed nights out. While during the day, the Underground transforms into 3TK.
