The Students' Union publishes a number of Handbooks at the start of the year to help particular groups of student settle in at LSE.
These include the International Students Handbook, Womens' Handbook and Students with Disabilities Handbook.
They are written by people with a particular knowledge of the issues raised, either the Student Representative reponsible for representing the students involved, a School department, or an outside body with a expertise. They are edited and produced by the Students' Union Communications Officer.
Copies are avilable free of cost from Students' Union Reception on the ground floor of the East Building.
LSE SU has an International Students Officer ,Postgraduate Students' Officer ,Anti-Racism Officer ,Women's Officer ,LGBT Students' OfficerStudents with Disabilities Officer ,Mature and Part-time Students' Officer and a General Course Representative on its Executive Committee. ,
Because of the nature of LSE, the Students' Union Executive Committee has a number of positions to represent all the types of students. That's why we have a Post-graduate Students Officer, a Mature and Part-time Students Officer, a General Course Reprsentative and of course an International Students Officer.
And to ensure that every student is represented in what they are as well as how they study and to ensure that every student is treated equally, the Students' Union Executive Committee has a number of equality liberation positions. These are the Anti-racism Officer, the Womens' Officer, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) Students Officer and the Students With Disabilities (SWD)Officer.
