Anti-Racism
The LSE has a fantastically diverse membership, with our students coming from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds.
The SU is extremely proud of the cultural fusion and atmosphere this creates and will not tolerate racism in any form.
If you feel you have been a victim of racial harassment, discrimination or abuse please do not hesitate to contact the SU Anti-Racism Officer or the SU Education and Welfare Officer.
Your complaint will be kept absolutely confidential. The SU is affiliated to the Student Assembly Against Racism (see below) and hosts a number of anti-racist activities.
Two years ago we elected Stephen Lawrence, ten years after his racist murder, as Honorary President of the SU as a testament to the student body's commitment to champion this fight.
'Respect not Racism' week, in association with the Greater London Authority, has taken place in week seven of the Michaelmas term and included a food fair and talks on issues like institutional racism.
