Travelling Safely in London

Coming to University in London, provides you with many new opportunities to socialise and meet new people, whether it it here on campus, or out in one of the many popular night spots around London. However, it is important that you always consider your safety, especially if you have to travel home late at night.

Leaving from the Union...

Every Friday night during and after Crush, the Student's Union provides a free night bus to the LSE Halls of Residences. It leaves at 12pm, 1am and 2am. Priority is given to women travelling alone, and those that live in the halls that are the greatest distance from the Union.

There are two free-phones in the Union building that connect you directly to a licensed mini-cab operator. One is located in the foyer of the Union, and the other in front of the SU reception.

There are many night buses that leave regularly from Aldwych. On the notice boards in the SU foyer, you can find an up to date map of all the bus routes, that operate from this area both during the day and at night.
