RESPONSIBILITIES: To represent the welfare of each and every LSE resident (about 3400) and to help house LSE students in London !
MY PRIORITIES FOR THE YEAR: Work to provide short and long term solutions to make LSE's accommodation more affordable and better value for money. Woking with effective hall committees, increasing accountability and providing a vibrant, positive hall experience, with better welfare provision and great activities to meet the neighbours, especially during Freshers week. To work on hall recycling and reduction of waste initiatives with the [SU Environment and Ethics Officer, and hall committees. Making hall's committee systems more effective and accountable to students, enabling them to provide you with better welfare services and provision and a more vibrant, friendly hall with more activities especially in Fresher's week. To make frequent reports of the finding of the various residences groups, and convey this information to residents!
HOW I CAN HELP YOU: If you believe something could work better in your hall, don't know where to turn to for advice on accommodation or have a problem that your hall committee can't fix, I will be able to help you out. If you are finding the experience of living in London for the first time a bit daunting, just as I did, I am always around to answer your questions over lunch or a drink (I love tea and biscuits).
