Men’s Basketball Team
Home Court: Brixton Recreation Centre
League:          South Eastern Conference, Division 1A

Last year, the LSE Men’s Basketball Team won the British Division II National Championship with a 102-41 rout of the University of Bolton in Sheffield in March. This concluded an undefeated 21-win season for the Beavers, who also hoisted the Southeastern 2B League Trophy and the University of London Cup in February. The team was also selected by the LSE Athletic Union as the 2006-2007 Team of the Year.
 
The Basketball Team's season runs from October through March, with weekly Wednesday games, and twice-weekly practises/training sessions. The season's fixture consists of ten conference games against division rivals, various Cup tournament games within the British Universities Sports Association, and occasional regional and international friendlies. Last year’s team traveled to Manchester and Barcelona.
 
The Division 1A, Southeastern division is comprised of:

University of Sussex, Men's 1st
Kingston University, Men's 1st
Brunel University, Men's 2nd
 
Try-outs are held the first week after Class Registration. The team will have a booth in the sports division of the Freshers’ Fair. For more information, contact:
