Features

International affairs, domestic politics, student issues; The Beaver Features' section covers all these and more. Major world events, from the war in Iraq to the LSE student protests of 1967, have been covered in the Features section this year, alongside coverage of issues closer to our current campus life, such as homelessness in London, the inner sanctum of The Beaver office and mental health issues as experienced by LSE students.

The Features section always takes a quirky and alternative look at the stories dominating the news: analysing the role of the media in conflict areas; evaluating the Tony Blair's legacy (or poisoned chalice) to Gordon Brown; and profiling a student protestor turned freedom fighter in Kosovo. We hope to inform, entertain and challenge; and maybe sometimes even enrage, irritate and upset. We are always looking for new writers and sub-editors, so please get in touch at thebeaver.features@lse.ac.uk
