Disciplinary Action

 

The Collective and Beaver Executive Editor may both issue disciplinary actions to editors and staff of the paper. Any member of the Collective may also request collective motions of censure or no confidence in editors and staff at collective meetings or to the chair via email. Details of disciplinary procedure are available in the Beaver Constitution and Articles of Association.

 

Warning: Based on minor infringements

 

Formal Warning: Based on a major infringement

 

Executive Censure: Issued by the Executive Editor for serious infringements

 

Collective Censure: Issued in extreme cases of gross misconduct. Requires a majority vote of the collective to pass

 

Vote of No Confidence: triggered after two censures or brought about at any time by any member of the collective with one week's notice. If passed by supra-majority the individual shall be stripped of office.
