Dear Members,
The UN Society would like to invite you to the following event.
An evening with Professor Paul Kennedy
Venue: G108
Date: Tuesday 4th March
Time: 6.15 pm - 8pm
We have invited Professor Kennedy to join us in an interactive discussion regarding his latest book The Parliament of Man: the past, present and future of the United Nations (2006), which is inspired by the work he did on a report for the secretary general for the 50th anniversary of the UN. The discussion will be followed by drinks and snacks. We will also have book signing at the event and will be giving out five copies of The Parliament of Man to the audience through a raffle draw.
Paul Kennedy is the J. Richardson Dilworth Professor of History at Yale University, where he teaches on political, economic, and strategic issues. Professor Kennedy is one of the most well-known international historians working in the field today. Through his books The Rise and Fall of the Great Powers and Preparing for the Twenty-First Century he has reached a global audience and his presence at the LSE is of key importance in our ambitions to launch the School as meeting-place between the study of history and present-day international concerns.
