WOMEN IN BUSINESS

While other business related societies tend to take a broad approach in addressing career insight issues, none are dedicated to addressing the specific challenges that women face through various stages of their career. The LSE SU Women in Business society (WiB) seek to fill this niche. We shall provide industry insight, skills workshops, mentoring and networking opportunities for our members to equip them with the tools they need to assume strong and successful roles in business.

We shall be covering a range of industries, notably:

• Banking, Insurance and Financial Services

• Advertising Marketing and Media

• Journalism

• Energy & Utilities

• Pharmaceutical

• Consultancy

• Entrepreneurship

• Technology and IT

• Law

WiB’s long term vision is to generate a very clear positioning for its members by establishing a much-needed forum for business networking, education and the discussion of pressing issues surrounding women in business in the 21st century.

We are not into positive discrimination!

Let’s be clear: this is not a society which aims to single out women for preferential treatment. Rather, we exist to provide women with the tools, networks, and knowledge they need to shift the gender balance themselves and assume leadership roles in business.
