Constitution and Steering Committee (C & S)
C & S deal with all the internal procedures of the Students Union (SU). Our key responsibility is ensuring that the Union stays within the law of the land and our own rules and guidelines, the Constitution and the Codes of Practice.
Amongst other tasks and duties that may arise, our day-to-day role includes vetting Union General Meeting (UGM) motions, ensuring the proper conduct of UGM, SU electoral oversight and in general the constitutional running of the Union. We are also the de facto check-and-balance on the Executive branch of the SU.
If you have any questions, complaints or queries or would like any help or advice with UGM motions or any other internal procedure, please feel free to contact C&S. Our Tuesday evening meetings are open to all and all students have speaking rights.
