Your Chance, Your Vote - You Decide!
For the London School of Economics and Political Science it would be exceptionally disappointing for student politics to be a dull, tame affair. Luckily previous years have lived up to expectations and vigourously contested any chance to be part of their Student Union. Thus, for the 4th week of Michaelmas term and the 8th week of Lent tem Houghton Street becomes alive with campaigners dying for your vote. Those successfully elected go on to manage specific areas of the SU policy.
The question you must ask yourself is do you want to get involved. First and foremost remember to cast your vote in each election. This year you can even cast your vote online, there really is no excuse not to. You might even wish to stand for election yourself, simply remember to look out for when nomination open and start thinking about how you could make a difference. If you want to get a feel for student politics at LSE in the run up to election time your first step should be to begin by attending the UGM, every Thursday at 1pm in the Old theatre. Here is your chance to see elected officers of the Union in action and decide if you want to be one of them.
If you have any further questions regarding elections please don’t hesitate to contact the Returning Officer via email, su.returningofficer@lse.ac.uk.
