About F&S
The Finance & Services Committee is responsible for:
1. Controlling the day-to-day financial affairs of the Union
2. Ensuring the overall development and co-ordination of Union Services, via reports from the service managers
3. Researching and developing alternative sources of revenue for the Union
4. Borrowing money on the Union's behalf, but only from time to time and with the approval of the Executive.
In practice, a large part of the Committee's work is related examining society budget applications and allocating the money between societies and also examining the performance of the SU services, like the shop, bars and cafe and speaking to the service managers.

Members
The membership of the Finance and Services Committee is as follows:
1. The Treasurer (who shall Chair and have the casting vote only)
2. The General Secretary
3. The Education and Welfare Officer
4. The Communications Officer
5. The Environment and Ethics Officer
6. The Societies Officer
7. Four members to be elected in a single ballot by cross-campus ballot in the Lent Term elections
 This year's elected members of the FSC are:
    * Saad Fahim
    * Sanjiv Nanwani
    * Yomna Nasr
    * Robert Oorthuysen-Dunne
The SU General Manager and Finance Secretary shall also attend in a non-voting capacity. The Treasurer may also invite others to attend.
All FSC meetings are open to all members of the Union to attend and speak at.

Proceedure
Meetings of the Finance and Services Committee shall be convened by the Treasurer on a regular basis, not less than every three weeks, in term time, to review the financial affairs of the Union exclusive of financial procedure as defined in the Constitution. Any two voting members of the committee may request the Treasurer to call a meeting within three days.
The quorum of this Committee shall be six voting members.
The Union General Meeting may reverse any decision of the Finance Committee on all matters relating to financial procedure. A motion of this kind will require to be passed by a two thirds of those present and voting at a quorate Union Meeting.
