In October, the Part Time Post Graduate Sabbatical will be elected.
This is an excellent opportunity to get involved with YOUR union and represent over 50% of LSE's student body.

The Role
The holder's resonsbilities will broadly include putting on events, chairing regular assembly meetings and campaigning for the interests of all Post Graduates.
Last years' Post Graduate Officer worked on:
*Creating a Postgraduate-Undergraduate Advising Programme, TIPS (Third-Years Intermingling with Postgraduate Students)
*Fighting back against the Government's proposed immigration cap, and insulating LSE students from reductions in the availability of the post-study work visa
*Attracting more diverse types of career recruiters
*Helping build community among postgrads with a variety of fun and vibrant social events
*And much much more!
The holder also sits on the Board of Trustees and the Academic Board.
The position is paid for the academic year (October - July.) It is expected the holder will work on average 20 hours per week and is given a desk and computer in the Kingsley Rooms.
The Election
The Post Graduate Officer is elected during the Michaelmas Elections. Any student can vote for the position.
Nominations are open and close at 5pm October 17.
Candidates will run election campaigns, with voting opening on October 26 at 10am and closes on October 27 at 7pm.
