LSESU Annual Survey 2011
Fill in LSESU Annual Survey 2012.
What was the survey?
It was 40 questions, with a mixture of rating scales, open text boxes and yes/no options. It took place during May & June 2011, and was advertised through the all student newsletter, social networks and on lsesu.com
How representative was the survey?
There were over 1,200 respondents. This is 12% of the School. This is a very high response rate for a survey of this kind. The results were representative of the broader demographics of the School in relation to which department people are in, if they are from the UK/Europe/International, and whether they were an undergraduate, postgraduate research or postgraduate taught student. There was a slight underrepresentation of part time students (4% in the survey, 10% within the School)
Overall Summary
Our campaigns during 2010/11 had high levels of awareness, and had wide levels of support. There is, however, clear areas where we can improve our campaigning activity. This is particularly around how we are communicating the things we are doing, and why.
Students want us to be more targetted in the things that we do, ensuring activities and communications are more relevant and more useful.
Although there are high levels of involvement in wide areas of the Union's activity - there are clear areas to improve.
There are some significant differences between the experience of undergraduate & postgraduate students of LSESU.
