Advice and Support

Using The Advice and Support Service

We are a free, independent and confidential service, offering advice, guidance and representation to all LSE students. Our team of professional advisers are on hand to assist you with a range of issues and can advise and represent you on LSE academic policies - appeals, mitigating circumstances, academic misconduct and complaints. We can also support you with housing matters, applications to the SU hardship funds, employment problems, money, debt and welfare benefits, fee status, discrimination and your rights.

How can I access this Service?
The Advice Centre is situated behind the Students' Union Helpdesk on the Ground Floor of the East Building, Houghton Street. If you have any access requirements please let us know so we can arrange a suitable alternative interview room.

Our Opening Hours
We are open for telephone and email enquiries Monday to Friday 10.30 - 16.30.

We have two drop in sessions every day, 12-2 and 3:30 - 4:30. You can drop in for up to half an hour with an adviser. We have a very busy service so we cannot guarantee that someone will be able to see you when you drop in. To ensure that we will be available when you wish to see us please contact us to arrange an appointment.

If you wish to see an adviser outside of these hours please contact us to arrange an appointment.
