About us
The LSE SU Entrepreneurs Society is the most active society at the LSE, with a membership base including undergraduates, postgraduates and alumni from the LSE and a 10,000+ social media follower base.
The society was founded in 2004, and has since evolved into one of the most successful societies at the LSE – winning LSE SU’s Gold Award, Most Improved Society and Outstanding Society Member in 2016.
Our mission to inspire, educate and provide exciting opportunities to the entrepreneurs of tomorrow has motivated us to launch and develop exciting initiatives that we like to call Ventures. Today we host 2 conferences, 2 bi-weekly events, a pre-accelerator and a Europe-wide funding competition.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide our members with the best opportunities to do the following:
- Learn the skills and develop the mind-set necessary to succeed as a modern entrepreneur
- Develop, validate and finance their business ideas
- Expand their network and be inspired by successful entrepreneurs
- Take on career opportunities in high-growth entrepreneurial environments – from internships in start-ups to full-time positions in tech giants
- Learn about the state of technology today and the opportunities it will bring in the future
Our Ventures

ENTREPRENEUR TUESDAYS
Entrepreneur Tuesdays is a speaker series that brings the spirit of entrepreneurism directly to students by hosting special guests to share their experience with students. The speakers are successful entrepreneurs, ranging from millionaire youtubers and founders of tech start-up founders to executives of global corporations. Each event focuses on different aspects of starting a business, such as validating ideas, growing and funding. Entrepreneur Tuesdays is held once a fortnight and runs throughout the entire academic year.
Past speakers have included:
- Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou (founder of EasyJet)
- Dhiraj Mukherjee (founder of Shazam)
- Will Shu (founder of Deliveroo)
- Haig Farris (venture capitalist and quantum physicist)

EUROPEAN STUDENT STARTUPS
European Student Startups is Europe's first Angel and Venture Capital Competition held exclusively for students and reintroduced in 2016. Hosted in partnership with many of the continent's top entrepreneurial student societies, the competition culminates in the Grand Final where the best entrepreneurs pitch to an audience of experienced investors, looking to put their money into Europe's best new enterprises.

KICKSTART LONDON
Kickstart London is the first cross-university, student-run entrepreneurship programme with the main aim of creating a truly connected community of student entrepreneurs to test their ideas.
We use business projects, structured workshops and mentoring as a vehicle to educate our participants about entrepreneurship and build strong connections across universities.

AIBE SUMMIT
As the world’s largest conference of its kind, AIBE (Artificial Intelligence in Business & Entrepreneurship) Summit will fully immerse over 1,000 delegates into the world of AI, highlighting the progress made hitherto in various industries and the benefits and dangers that humankind is faced with. Speakers will range from tech giants such as Google and IBM to AI start-up founders as well as world-leading researchers and philosophers from Imperial, Oxford and LSE universities. The Summit will also include AI & Robotics demonstrations and a special ‘Build your own robot’ session.

SPARKS CONFERENCE
Since its inception in 2010, Sparks has emerged as the largest and most prestigious student-run entrepreneurship conference in the UK. We have hosted over 50 world business leaders, founders and CEO's to inspire, lead workshops and directly network with over 450 entrepreneurial students each year. These speakers travel from across the globe and have run companies worth billions of dollars, with industries ranging from SaaS to space travel.
