The Grimshaw Club is the go-to on campus for all things international affairs. Since 1923 and as the school's oldest society, we've run events of a high caliber with diplomats, civil society and academics at the LSE and beyond it. We run Conversations over coffee or drinks with academics and practitioners throughout the year, larger panel events, an annual Ambassador Series, and socials within the society and with other LSE and London societies, before our Student Delegations jet off to any one of five far-flung destinations in the spring.
In the past year alone we have run events with a vast range of groups from Assemblea Nacional Catalana to Politico, the Economist and the Kurdistan Regional Govermment (KRG) in Iraq, to name but a few, and we're always on the lookout for guests or topic suggestions. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or feedback, don't hesitate to get in touch!
We welcome all students interested in the big issues of today, whether or not you have an IR background (we're always keen to serve as a starting point for the interested), whether undergrad or postgrad (you'll find our membership usually goes 50/50), and at all levels of participation.
And don't forget to follow us for more updates!
The Grimshaw Symposium will take place 25th November to 29th November, hosting a range of events on the topic of 'The Changing Face of International Affairs.' Speakers come from organisations including the RAND Corporation, Grantham Institute, and EuropeElects. For the full schedule, visit here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1499148143558403/
