As one of the largest and most sponsored society on campus, we aim to champion gender equality within the corporate world through collaboration with our sponsors and help women thrive in traditionally male-dominated industries.
While other business related societies tend to take a broad approach in addressing career insight issues, none are dedicated to addressing the specific challenges that women face through various stages of their career. The LSESU Women in Business society (WiB) seek to fill this niche. We provide industry insight, skills workshops, mentoring and networking opportunities for our members to equip them with the tools they need to assume strong and successful roles in business.
Women Empowerment Week:
From 25 February - 1 March 2019 (LT Week 7), we will be holding our inaugural Women Empowerment Week in partnership with other LSE societies in order to bring greater awareness to the challenges women face in the workplace and beyond.
We want women to be able to take control of their own lives and to freely make decisions concerning their careers. Society has made great progress in advancing this but empowerment first comes from within. We aspire to help women from all financial and socio-economic backgrounds to develop personally, to realise their true potential, and to have confident in and trust in their abilities. We want to celebrate the achievements of our members and assist them in building a supportive network of like-minded individuals.
We will be having an event EACH DAY of the week including a Personal Branding workshop, an Inspiring Women in Entrepreneurship panel and a night to celebrate the achievements of women!
Look out on our Facebook page for upcoming details!
