ABOUT US
The LSESU Hot Sweaty Beavers is more than just a sports team. We are a community like no other. We welcome boys and girls of all ability, and seek to create an environment for everyone to enjoy the sport and socialise in equal measure. We can honestly and truly say that everyone in the club are friends.
If you've never played before - don't worry. It's one of the fastest sports to pick up, and we make sure that everyone has a regular opportunity to play in competitive matches straight away - there's no better way to learn!
We are definitely the best sport for socials. The strong community element in Ultimate Frisbee comes from us being smaller than other clubs, which strengthens our bond together. People who have graduated also come back now and again to play with the team, showing how strong our sense of community is. We also offer a range of socials to accommodate everyone in the club, from AU nights in fancy dress to wholesome potlucks and karaoke nights, with highlights of our social calendar last year being AU Carol. We work hard and we play pretty hard but it’s never forced; we're just there to have fun. But don’t take our word for it; the quality and range of our socials earned us the Inclusivity Award from the 2020 LSESU Sports Awards!
So if you’re looking to get into a new sport, an Ultimate veteran, or just looking to make some new friends, the Hot Sweaty Beavers are always happy to welcome you!

MEMBERSHIP
Our membership gives you access to all our socials, training sessions and entry into competitive matches.
Your membership purchase will go towards funding the club’s socials, travel and accommodation for competitive matches as well as the long-term development of the club.

TRAINING SESSIONS
14:00-16:00 on Wednesdays at Regent's Park
15:00-17:00 on Saturdays in the Marshall Sports Hall
EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
Our socials are held every Wednesday. Past socials include fancy dress parties, potlucks, team dinners, karaoke nights and more!
