Nothing is more important than living

  • A GREENER CAMPUS
    • Lobbying for solar panels on LSE rooftops and halls
    • Increasing green space around campus via tree-planting initiatives

 

  • REDUCING OUR FOOTPRINT
    • Clearly demarcate where water fountains are
    • Lobby for additional water fountains 
    • Donate leftover food to local food banks to reduce waste
    • Incentivising the use of reusable cups by working with campus cafes
    • Starting a used clothes exchange on campus to reduce needless disposal collaboratively

 

  • PUTTING THE SPOTLIGHT ON THE ENVIRONMENT
    • Hosting a revamped Green Week with speakers and interactive events
    • Working with Careers and the volunteering service to promote environmental initiatives
    • Increasing engagement with LSE-based research centres, like the Grantham Institute, to bring an academic perspective to campus issues

 

  • HOLDING POWER TO ACCOUNT
    • Work with the LSE to try and divest its investments from companies with a large carbon footprint
    • Work with the sustainability divisions at LSE to see how best we can collaborate
