Introduction to Fives

At the start of every term we give students the chance to attend free taster sessions.

Give It A Go

Give It A Go is all about exploring LSESU’s amazing, student-led sports clubs, societies and the media group societies. At the start of every term we give students (non-members) the chance to attend free taster sessions with some of our best clubs and societies to see what they’re really like without having to pay membership to join.

These different activities will fall under 5 different themes: Get Active, Learn A Skill, Relax and Socialise, Be Creative, and Share Your Culture, so you will get a flavour of what to expect from the Give It A Go session before you go!

Introduction to Fives

Thursday 06 October 2016

6:30pm - 9pm

Meet at the entrance to the Students' Union Building

Fives is an English specific sport that has been historically called ‘hand-tennis’. We will hold a number of practise sessions to give an introduction to the sport and explain the basic rules of the game. These taster sessions will be conducted by a student-coach who is highly qualified to provide a great insight into the game. These sessions will take place at Highgate and we welcome any student wishing to try a new sport.

The Fives introductory session will take place on Thursday 29th September and Thursday 6th October in the evening from 7-9pm. The sessions will continue weekly at the same time and we would welcome any new player at any stage although the introductory sessions are more like taster sessions.

We will be meeting outside the SU building at 6:30pm prior to the session and will travel together on the tube to Highgate (Bishopswood Rd, London N6 4NY, United Kingdom).

Places are limited! To reserve your place and guarantee entry (as well as receiving updates about any room changes) just request a free ticket.

If you are a new student starting at LSE and you have not registered in LSE yet, then you will need to create a guest account on this website to reserve a place. Get started by clicking Options (top right) then 'Guest Account'.
