Give It A Go
Give It A Go is all about exploring LSESU’s amazing, student-led sports clubs, societies and the media group societies. At the start of every term we give students (non-members) the chance to attend free taster sessions with some of our best clubs and societies to see what they’re really like without having to pay membership to join.
These different activities will fall under 5 different themes: Get Active, Learn A Skill, Relax and Socialise, Be Creative, and Share Your Culture, so you will get a flavour of what to expect from the Give It A Go session before you go!

Athletics Tapas- the ultimate Give it a Go

Meet in the Old Gym - Basement of the Old Building.
This session is designed so that people can get a taste of all that the Athletics and Running club has to offer. We will have 5 stalls offering a mix of running, jumping and throwing. You stay at each stall for around 20 minutes and take part in an introductory session in that activity, then you rotate until you have done all 5. An example of one of the sessions would be a 10 minute run around the park in pace groups (for the Running stall). We are expecting people to have very little experience of some of the more technical disciplines- so do not be put off if you haven't done some the activities before! Of course, experienced athletes will also be catered for. Prior to the session we will warm up all together and go through some drills, as well as doing some introductions. After the session we will stretch down and reflect upon the session. This session is the perfect chance to try a new sport, meet friends and have a lot of fun.
