The sports sector is one of the most interesting, diverse and high potential places to start your career. It spams the public, private and third sector – offering the opportunity to combine pursuing both something you are passionate about with a challenging and rewarding role in an competitive environment.

This presentation will highlight pathways to getting started in sports for graduates, provide advice on applications and searching for opportunities, as well as showcase some of the trends currently shaping the industry. Hosted by Beth Warne, a recent LSE Graduate from the Sports Ambassador Program, currently working on improving Women’s Sports Participation in Saudi Arabia and Peter Hawkings, Consultant at Portas, the world’s leading sports strategy consulting.

Beyond the Classroom: Skills Sessions

This is a qualifying session under the LSESU Leadership Accreditation.

LSESU Beyond the Classroom is an employability training programme designed to provide you with the opportunity to develop, learn and grow.

The programme offers a series of free, skills-based workshops on topics such as Managing Conflict; Public Speaking; Sponsorship; Campaigns; Event Management; and Social Media. Last year the programme received an 88% satisfaction rate from attendees and we put on a number of brand new sessions such as First Aid; Sign Language; and Coding. Sessions have been delivered by leading charities and companies, such as EY, the ONE Campaign, Teach First, and experienced advisers from LSE Careers and LSE Students’ Union.
