Information on the session & skill:

Empathy focuses on the emotional side of life, making sure feelings and emotions of everybody can be understood.

Mental Illness affects 1 in 4 individuals in the world, and learning how to identify mental illness and support individuals will be a key skill for the future.

Beyond the Classroom: Skills Sessions

This is a qualifying session under the LSESU Leadership Accreditation.

LSESU Beyond the Classroom is an employability training programme designed to provide you with the opportunity to develop, learn and grow.

The programme offers a series of free, skills-based workshops on topics such as Managing Conflict; Public Speaking; Sponsorship; Campaigns; Event Management; and Social Media. Last year the programme received an 88% satisfaction rate from attendees and we put on a number of brand new sessions such as First Aid; Sign Language; and Coding. Sessions have been delivered by leading charities and companies, such as EY, the ONE Campaign, Teach First, and experienced advisers from LSE Careers and LSE Students’ Union.
