The LSE ACS is proud to present our annual bespoke event, Black Ascent. This year’s theme is the expression of black identity through the medium of the Arts, and as such, our lineup comprises of high-achieving individuals of African and Caribbean descent, who have built a name and brand specifically within the art and entertainment industry.

The topic of black identity is extremely multifaceted and unique, however, there exists this common battle to both celebrate and conceal the elements of our culture; particularly with regard to our traditional and performative arts. This event promises to be really insightful as our speakers will discuss how culture has shaped and continues to shape their experiences both personally and professionally.

The event is open to everyone and will be held on the 1st of February in the Sheikh Zayed Theatre at the New Academic Building from 6pm to 9pm so save the date and join the conversation.
