Anne Washburn’s imaginative dark comedy propels us forward nearly a century, following a new civilisation stumbling into its future; a future without electricity. It starts with a group of strangers killing time by immersing themselves in the most famous TV family. 7 years later “ The Simpsons” and other snippets of pop culture have become the live entertainment of a post-apocalyptic society, sincerely trying to hold onto its past. 75 years later, these are the myths and legends from which new forms of performance are created.

An exhilarating show, Mr Burns is simultaneously a realistic exploration of how people might cope in the aftermath of disaster, as well as a fantastical telling of how the pop culture of one era might evolve into the mythology of another.

Doors open at 7pm. Tickets £3 for members, £5 for non.
