Our society wouldn't be what it is today without our fantastic diversity: diversity of courses, careers, backgrounds and aspirations. Each member of the WLT network has their own unique experiences, their own perspectives and ambitions, and their own stories of success and failure. We want to celebrate the diversity that has helped our society develop into the largest women’s network at the LSE, and critically question what it means to be a modern woman in the 21st century. However, we cannot converse about empowerment and equality if only one side of the conversation is present. This is why, with inspiration from the He for She campaign, we hope this event will be the start of new collaboration and new diversity: gender diversity! We plan to encourage the male members of our network to get involved.

Women Inspired will be a formal evening event, complete with canapés and drinks. After an official welcome, the evening will be dotted with speeches from our high profile guest speakers, who will share their own stories of empowerment and draw upon their own experiences to speak about the diversity of the 21st century woman. We seek to create an atmosphere conducive to informal conversations and networking, by allowing ample time between speeches for discussions and networking. Between 100-120
WLT members will attend, and 10-15 representatives from WLT partners. After the final speaker, we will draw the event to a close with an unveiling of the new WLT
Mentorship Scheme.
