Listed by LSE Students' Union

Application deadline: Fri 26 Jul 2019 10:00

Fri 02 Aug 2019

LSE Students’ Union has over 200 active societies covering a wide range of activities from the serious and prestigious, to the light-hearted and fun. We are looking for someone to make sure our students get the best out of their time at LSE by supporting and developing our societies to be the best in the country.

Are you passionate about working with students? Do you want the chance to build a reputation for sector leading societies? Do you want to help students get the most out of their time at LSE.

If the answer is yes then this role is for you. Our members are some of the most ambitious and capable students at any university and we believe they deserve the opportunity to be able to take part in excellent society led activities as part of their experience at LSE.

You will be working with students everyday within our Societies team, supporting societies to put on excellent events and activities in a safe and inclusive manner. You will make sure we’re promoting and celebrating their incredible achievements.

You will work to develop and build partnerships and working relationships with students, LSE departments and other external organisations in London to support societies to push the boundaries of what they can achieve.

We are committed to providing excellent opportunities for our staff to learn and develop within their roles and offer an excellent environment in which you can grow your experience and skills.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about student societies and able to build strong partnerships between societies and the Students’ Union.

You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to work with people on all levels, from students taking part in societies for the first time to senior staff within the institution.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with students in a fast paced and demanding environment, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to enthuse students and a strong understanding of event planning and evaluation. We welcome applications from those with experience working in a higher education setting, but this is not essential, and candidates with experience from other areas will be considered.
