Our sports and recreational activities are the life and soul of LSE Students' Union, and we are proud to have a such a strong sporting community of more than 3,000 students.
Whether you're into competitive or leisure sports, team or individual pursuits, or are simply looking for a way to stay fit and healthy in between your classes, we have a range of activities for beginners who want to try something new to programmes for top-level athletes representing their country while studying at LSE.
The Athletics Union is for anyone interested in playing sports, at any level. Over 3,000 LSE students currently represent the School across more than 40 clubs, and by joining a sports club, you become a member of the AU community.
The LSE Sports Ambassador Scheme recognises and rewards exceptional sporting talent amongst our students. It supports and develops students who are elite athletes in any recognised sport to pursue their chosen sporting career.
LSESU runs drop-in classes for students keen to stay active between the rush of classes and deadlines. If you like the sound of low-cost or free classes in bellydancing, fencing and yoga or 5-a-side football tournaments, our Active LifeStylE programme is made for you!
Look after your physical and mental wellbeing at our state-of-the-art LSESU Gym – which also happens to be the cheapest gym in central London! We also run some great fitness classes in our Exercise Studio.
