About us
The LSESU Fashion Society is a social club interested and passionate about all things fashion. We focus on an annual theme, of which this year’s is ‘Fashion with a Conscience’ including issues concerning: Sustainability, BLM and labour trafficking and will have frequent panel talks and write fortnightly articles over the year to shed light on these issues.
We have an annual flagship event: The Charity Fashion Show in the Lent Term and look forward to inviting guest designers to showcase their designs and fundraise for a charity of our choice (do check out our social media for images of our past Fashion Shows).
Other events we have planned for our members over the coming academic year include : The Vintage Market on the LSE Campus, A Halloween Social, Christmas Social, Start-Up Panel Talk, Careers in Fashion Talk, Shoreditch Trip and many others.
We would love to have you as part of our society as we are planning to host numerous socials with you guys and also foster intellectual conversation on all the issues surrounding fashion today.
Membership
Purchasing membership to our society means that:
- You’ll be offered access to our events at discounted prices e.g. The Annual Charity Fashion Show, clubbing events in Toy Room and Mahiki (if the Covid situation allows for it) and many other exclusive events
- You’ll receive invites to the frequent society socials that we plan on hosting, where you’ll get to meet and get to know us as the committee and other fashion conscious peers!
- You’ll be signed up for our weekly newsletter informing you on all the coming and goings of the society, especially of our events and society socials!
Events and Activities
The LSESU Fashion Society Committee have already drafted a plan of our events in the Michaelmas Term, these include: a society trip to Shoreditch, Halloween Social, Careers in Fashion Panel Talk, Christmas Social, Clothes Swap Fair and potentially more!
For Lent Term, we will be hosting a Charity Fashion Show and an on campus Vintage Market, several more socials and the rest are to be confirmed.
