LSESU Green Finance Society's AGM

Running for the elections? Not running but interested to hear the candidates to help you cast your votes?

All candidates running for our society’s elections will present their speeches at the AGM. If you would like to run for the elections but cannot make it to the AGM, please let us know by 14th March 2021 – we will display your manifesto on screen. All members of our society are welcomed to tune in and ask the candidates questions. 

No registration is needed - the AGM Zoom link will be sent to all our members.

Nominations Open: Thursday 4th March 09:00
Nominations Close: Thursday 11th March 09:00
AGM on Zoom: Tuesday 16th March 14:00
Voting Open: Wednesday 17th March 09:00
Voting Close: Thursday 25th March 09:00

Elections Instructions:

  1. When the nominations are open, please head to our LSESU Page where you will find a link to our election: https://www.lsesu.com/communities/societies/. There you will find more information on the election and how you can nominate yourself.
  2. Upload your manifesto (multiple if you run for multiple positions) on our 'LSE SU Green Finance members 2020/21' Facebook group by 11th March 2021.
  3. After completing steps 1 and 2, you will receive an email from our society inviting you to present a speech at the AGM. Please let us know if you do not receive an invitation from us.
  4. Present your speech (multiple if you run for multiple positions) at the AGM held on Zoom, and be prepared to answer questions from the floor. Only 2 minutes max per speech!
  5. Voting opens on the LSESU Page.

Positions available:
President [1]: Chairs all society meetings, liaise with the SU on society issues, and oversees all committee members.
Vice President [1]: Works closely with the President, and replaces the President when he/she is unavailable.
Secretary [1]: Prepares newsletters, takes down meeting minutes and sends out emails.
Treasurer [1]: Records and manages the society's finances.
Corporate Relations Director [1]: Prepares the sponsorship contracts, leads the outreach to potential sponsors and speakers for events.
Events & Logistics Director [1]: Responsible for the event forms, and logistics of all events.
Marketing Director [1]: Manages the society's social media accounts, designs all marketing materials, and looks for ways to enhance the society’s reach.
