Activities Fund

The Activities Fund consists of a pot of money that is set aside by the Students' Union each academic year to help fund activities by our clubs and societies.

The activities fund a pot of money available for clubs and societies to support to deliver their regular activities or small development opportunities. The Activities fund a pot of money totalling £50,000 this academic year to help societies & clubs run their activities. Applications are open through-out term, and the money will be available for you to spend immediately after your application is approved. The committee meets approximately every two weeks during term time.


Criteria & guidelines:

Societies

Societies can apply a wide range activities or needs including:

  • New equipment to replace outdated equipment
  • Delivery of Events
  • Delivery of collaborative ideas which involve multiple societies
  • Delivery of projects and campaigns

Society Guidelines

Sports clubs

The activities fund for sports clubs exists to support them throughout the year, the committee will consider a wide range of applications. In past years we have supported:

  • New equipment to replace outdated equipment
  • Specialised training sessions to increase participation
  • Urgently required equipment/kit
  • Supporting unexpected BUCS progression costs

How do I apply?

If you think your proposed idea meets the criteria, you can apply using our submission form.

Activities Fund Application Form

your application will then be sent to the activities committee who meet every two weeks during term-time. they will discuss your application in their next meeting and you will receive an email with the outcome of your application within two weeks of the committee meeting. there are no appeals for rejected applications.
