How I was involved with LSESU before becoming an officer

I was Head Of Events for Islamic Society 2019/2020. A highlight would be climbing Mount Snowdon in first year to raise money for charity with ISoc! I also launched a blog in June with my friend Tarin whose also an LSE student where we discuss topics that are really important to us that we feel like need more attention!

What I’m looking to achieve this year

A priority of mine this year as Anti-Racism Officer is making it easier and more clear on how to report racism on campus and to make sure there's a support system in place. It's something I've noticed is lacking and preventing students from feeling comfortable enough to share their experience.

One tip for making the most out of LSE

The top 2 things students should do in first year is throwing themselves into as many societies as possible/ attend a lot of events and not to stress out too much they have 2nd/3rd year to do that.
