Monday 02 February 2015
1pm - 2pm
LSESU 3rd Floor Meeting Room, Saw Swee Hock Student Centre

The Session will be led by Jo Carrington, Careers Consultant at LSE Careers.

This interactive workshop will give sports club students, who are currently undecided about their career path, techniques to use and tasks to complete to help them start making career decisions. It will guide you towards making a plan to start mapping your own career, with suggestions as to how LSE Careers can support and guide you in this process.

It will include how the skills you gain during your involvement with your sports team, other extra-curricular activities, work experience, volunteering and education can help you make career decisions. The importance of your values in the job search will also be explored.

As a next step, ideas for research will be highlighted, with suggestions for where and how to begin this search.

The LSESU Employability and Development Program is a series of free training sessions designed to develop exactly the sorts of skills which you will need after LSE.
