At LSE SU RAG, we think it is important that the charities we choose to support over the forthcoming year are decided on by the students of LSE.
 
We therefore want you to have the final say, and as such we invite you to pick between several shortlisted charities at a Local, National and International level. Voting is open between 10am Tuesday and Thursday 5pm this week, and the link is www.lsesu.com/vote
 
Shortlists are:

Local

1. St Mungo’s Broadway- Helping London end homelessness by tackling it both on the streets and at its cause. http://www.mungosbroadway.org.uk/
2. London Youth- Run a network of youth clubs across London helping disadvantaged young people increase their prospects. http://www.londonyouth.org.uk/
3. Royal Trinity Hospice- A south London Hospice which does fantastic work working with seriously ill people across London. http://www.trinityhospice.org.uk/

National

1. St John Ambulance- A charity which provides free first aid and training across the country. https://www.sja.org.uk/sja/default.aspx
2. Papyrus- Helping prevent suicide amongst young people nationally. https://www.papyrus-uk.org/
3. Mencap-  Providing a voice and support for those with mental illnesses. https://www.mencap.org.uk/
4. Orchid - Fighting Male Cancer- Funding research and care for male specific cancers. http://www.orchid-cancer.org.uk/

International 

1.Farm Africa- Helping to end hunger and support economic development in eastern Africa. http://www.farmafrica.org/
2. Eating Stones Fund UK- Raising money to help alleviate poverty in Kenyan slums. http://www.eatingstones.co.uk/
3. Operation Smile- Helping those born with a cleft lip worldwide. http://www.operationsmile.org.uk/
4. Health Poverty Action- Helping to aid international development worldwide by promoting healthcare. http://www.healthpovertyaction.org/
