The role and responsibilities of the position:
In my role I am responsible for supporting and developing the great variety of student activities which occur at LSE.
Three qualities someone interested in this position should possess are:
-
Enthusiasm
-
Imagination
-
Organisation
The best part is: Â
Seeing a really well-attended and hosted event.
It’s not all fun and games. The most challenging aspect is:
Saying no. Whether that’s turning down someone’s application to set up a society or telling someone you’re unfortunately unable to help them.
The most surprising part of the job is: Â
How little free time I have in the day to actually go out and get involved with some of the great things our student groups are doing.
The advice I would give to someone thinking of standing:
Think about what you think needs to change and how you would go about doing it. Also go for it – the job is great.
