The role and responsibilities of the position:
The International Students' Officer represents all non-UK students (including EU students) and defends their interests on school committees and by running campaigns on issues that affect them both on and off campus. You will also be organizing events such as International Week celebrating diversity at LSE and encouraging exchanges between our many cultural and national societies.

It’s not all fun and games. The most challenging aspect is:
Getting students and societies involved in any project requires continuous efforts. But once they're on board, it's really rewarding for everyone.
The most surprising part of the job is:
I think I had underestimated both the amount of work I would put into it and the amount of fun it would be.
The advice I would give to someone thinking of standing:
Don't do it if you're only interested in making your CV look good. If that's not your main focus, then run by all means and let me know if you have any questions!
