Jainism is one of the oldest religions from India and is rooted in the core beliefs of non-violence, truthfulness, non-stealing and non-attachment. The LSESU Jain Society is the first platform for Jains at the LSE to be represented under a unified banner and this aims to act as a catalyst to discuss Jain ethics, philosophies and economics in an open and transparent environment.

The LSESU Jain Society aims:
1. To study Jain philosophy, economics, wisdom and science and nurture healthy nonviolent lifestyle.
2. To compare Jain science with western science and discover the Anekant (pluralistic) wisdom of multifaceted truths.
3. To enable Jain students to develop a plural understanding of their culture and heritage and adapt it to modernity.
