Stand Up Comedy

Are you an open-mic pro? Do your friends think you're funny? Do you laugh at your own jokes? Welcome to the LSESU Stand-Up Comedy Society, where we take comedy seriously, but never ourselves. We’re here to help you unwind, laugh, and maybe even bomb a joke or two (in a supportive environment, of course). Whether you’re a stand-up pro, a shower-thought comic, or someone who loves a good laugh, this is your space.

Our events include everything from open mics to chaotic improv nights and roast battles, themed shows, and guest performances from real-life comedians (yes, people who get paid to be funny). We know LSE can be intense. That’s why we’re building a community where you can be your weird, witty self and connect with others over shared laughter and maybe a mutual fear of public speaking.

No experience? No problem. All you need is a sense of humour and the courage to give it a shot (or just sit in the back and giggle — that works too).
