About Us
MBP Capital is the London School of Economics' premier student-led investment fund. Our mission is to democratize financial knowledge. Each year, we run an intensive Autumn Term training bootcamp that culminates in a final investment pitch during the Winter Term. To maintain active membership, all MBP analysts are required to deliver at least one pitch per academic year.
Founded in 2015 by Rupesh Parikh, Ashwinder Moti, and Robert Barrett, MBP began as a macro-focused proprietary trading fund. As our community grew, so did our scope—eventually expanding to include a fundamental equities arm, attracting students passionate about bottom-up investment analysis.
Our structure mirrors that of a multi-strategy hedge fund, with dedicated portfolio managers leading individual pods. These pods foster close-knit teams where members can develop their skills and collaborate deeply. MBP supports a wide range of interests through specialized divisions spanning public and private equity, fixed income, commodities, and foreign exchange.
We are committed to offering rigorous training across asset classes. Our curriculum is supplemented by guest lectures and mentorship from distinguished alumni in both buy-side and sell-side roles, ensuring our members gain practical insights from industry leaders.
