Says who that humanities can only be done in qualitative ways? Says who that social science students are outsiders to quantitative skills?

Interested in finding out how professional scholars are empowering humanities research using data science methods? Intrigued by how has the advent and application of Artificial Intelligence affected social sciences? Or already eager to establish your own research project with other like-minded peers?

The Quantitative Humanities & Social Sciences society provides you with the very platform where you can realize your aspirations!

We collaborate with the LSE Data Science Institute and regularly host panels featuring leading social science scholars, exploring how quantitative methods are transforming their research. Topics span the exciting frontiers of research, from the transformative potential of emerging AI consciousness to the dynamic social forces driving the surge in populist movements.

Besides, we organize workshops led by phd students, aiming to familiarize social science students with prevailing quantitative analysis tools (python, Jupyter, etc.), providing hands-on technical support for your first quantitative social science research.

Furthermore, for members who wants to explore relevant career paths, our society invites current practitioners to fireside chats, creating unparalleled opportunities for information sharing as well as networking.
