The LSESU Egyptian Society is a hub for Egyptian students and anyone interested in Egypt’s dynamic cultural and professional landscape.
Our mission is to connect members with opportunities in business, economics, politics, academia, and the creative industries, mainly in Egypt and the surrounding region.

We provide a platform for mentorship, professional growth, and networking through events such as:

Career Panels & Talks: Featuring Egyptian professionals from diverse sectors, finance, diplomacy, law, academia, and the arts.

Networking Mixers: Informal socials to build lasting connections within the Egyptian, wider MENA nationals' and expat community.

Skills Workshops: Covering interview preparation, public speaking, professional etiquette, and development-focused training specifically for the MENA region.

Collaborations: Joint initiatives with Egyptian Societies, the Embassy, Cultural and Educational Bureau and professional organisations such as the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce.

Cultural Career Events: Exploring how Egyptian heritage intersects with professional identity through film, art, and discussion.

A Potential Annual Flagship Conference: Bringing together Egyptian professionals, academics, and students to inspire cross-sector collaboration and national development dialogue.

If enough interest is shown, an Egypt trip may take place in the spring or summer term.

We celebrate and leverage the Egyptian identity as a professional and cultural bridge, fostering a community that uplifts, connects, and empowers Egyptians and those interested in Egypt in London and beyond.
