About Us

The LSE Geography and Environment Society is a student-led society within the LSE Students’ Union, dedicated to representing and supporting all students in the Department of Geography and Environment.

Our committee- made up of current students- works to create a vibrant and inclusive community where everyone feels welcome, supported, and engaged.

What We Do

We run a wide range of events throughout the year, including:

• Socials and networking evenings – the perfect way to meet new people and build connections across year groups.

• Academic talks and career panels – designed to inspire and support your professional journey.

• Flagship events such as the annual Winter Geography Ball, one of the highlights of the year.

• The Family Scheme, which pairs first-year students with current “parents” to help you settle in, find your feet, and feel at home in the department.
