Your go-to Kreol crew at LSE, a cultural and social society dedicated to connecting Mauritian students celebrating our heritage, and building a vibrant community on campus.
Welcome to the LSE Mauritian Society!
Whether you're born-and-bred in Mauritius, part of the diaspora, or just curious about island life, our society is here to bring a little warmth, rhythm, and flavour to your time at LSE.
We’re a cultural, social, and community-driven group that celebrates all things Mauritian, from sega music and Independence Day festivities to late-night socials and insightful talks on politics, economics, and law. Our events range from treasure hunts and beach trips to speaker panels with leading figures in Mauritian public life and networking lunches with diplomats and alumni.
But more than just events, we’re lakaz, a home, for Mauritian students navigating university life in London. Our aim is to create a tight-knit, welcoming community where friendships flourish, culture thrives, and your voice is heard.
So whether you're missing the tizil, craving dholl puri, or just looking for a society that feels like family, vinn zwenn nou! 🏝️
