The LSE Effective Altruism Society will host a Give It A Go (GIAG) event designed to introduce students to the core ideas of Effective Altruism (EA) in an engaging and accessible way. Effective Altruism is a philosophy and social movement that explores how individuals and societies can use evidence and reason to have the greatest possible positive impact.

Over pizza and interactive games, we’ll introduce some of the core ideas behind Effective Altruism, the philosophy and social movement that asks how we can use evidence and reason to do the most good with our time, careers, and resources.

This GIAG is aimed at students from across the LSE community who are curious about global issues, policy, and practical ways to contribute to positive change. It also offers an opportunity to learn more about the Effective Altruism Society, its activities during the year, and ways to get involved.
